Scientifically nookuvaanengil chila kaaryam manasilaakaam. Lifeil nammal ellavarum oru balance konduvaraan aanu sramikyunne. Scientifically speaking progressing towards attaining equilibrium in every aspect.
1. Where mental maturity is concerned, on an average, an 18 y old girl is much more mature than an 18 y old boy. (physically they both might be matured enough). So for a girl of 18y to have an equilibrium with a male/boy requires the boy should be at least 5 yrs older than her.
2. For a sustained relationship, there should be always a balance for vigour, vitality, compassion......etc. Biologically speaking in terms of biological clock in every individual, women reaches their major milestone around 45 and males are considered to reach (though not practically, but.......endu parayaan) their milestone around 50s, where they both start to look upon life in a different view where more than physical, one values more of emotional and mental bonding.

Re: Why should the girl be younger than the boy.... in marriage.... or in relationships??
The actual reason is biological not lgical
. Boys reach puberty only at the age of 13 wheras girls reach it at 11. Hence it is considered scientifically that this difference be maintained.i am talking of marriage of course
.Thats all

i would say if its a difference of 1 then tat's absolutely fine .. wont support an age difference of 5 or more. Afterall this is love .. and love is blind .. we love people without knowing their actual age naa ?? when we find out the girl is older than you .. then we do make a back step. WHY ??? As i said if its an year difference i dont see anything wrong in marrying the person .. in states they are people marrying 5 and 10 years younger guys .. and moreover guys prefer to be with older girls.

Re: Why should the girl be younger than the boy.... in marriage.... or in relationships??
i think mostly its because the girls look older sooner than boys and also, once they are past the age of 30 there are quite a lot of hormonal changes in a girl's body. So, that might be one of the reasons why they say that boys have to be older..As for the dominant partner that some of you mentioned, i have seen females who rule their husbands even though they are 10 years younger than their husbands. So, the rule of dominancy can be there in a relationship even if the girl is younger or older than their husband.
