The film essays the adventurous and eventful journey of a young man seeking ultimate truth. The protagonist, Siddharthan, who belongs to an affluent family, leaves home in search of a true Guru while he was awaiting results of his post graduate examination. Siddharthan leaves behind a loving father, an elder brother and a girl who is in love with him. Disturbing, yet powerful experiences in North India literally reconstruct Siddharthan’s skeptic mindset. When he chooses to return after a decade the socio-political scenario of his home state gives Siddharthan some rude shocks. While portraying the life of Siddharthan the film also paints vivid pictures of Kerala during the politically turbulent eighties, the fast changing life of the nineties and the totally globalised present
