Thiruvananthapuram : Summer rains lashed at a few places in Kerala bringing relief to the people from the scorching heat. The Local Met office said Chengannur, Haripad, Kayamkulam, Kanjirapally, Piravom, Nedumangad and Varkal recorded a rainfall of two cm each. Punalur, Chalakudy, Mannarcaud, Ottappalam and Vaikom received one cm of rainfall each. The highest temperature of 36 degree Celsius was recorded at Kannur, the Met office said.
