    CBI court convicts Chandigarh cop for taking bribe

    Chandigarh: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court Tuesday held a Chandigarh policeman guilty of accepting bribe from a drug peddler who is at present lodged in a jail here.CBI Special Judge Darshan Singh convicted sub-inspector Ved Parkash of accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 from Harpal Singh alias Raju in 2007 after threatening to slap false cases on him.
