    National Security Council discusses Maoist menace

    New Delhi: On the day when 75 central paramilitary personnel were killed in a Maoist offensive, the Left-wing extremists' menace dominated the discussion at the National Security Council here Tuesday.The one-hour meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and attended by National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon, Home Minister P. Chidambaram, top officials and the three Services chiefs. On Tuesday, Left-wing guerrillas ambushed and massacred at least 74 Central Reserve Police Force....
