Medhini gets N C Mammootty Puraskaram

Kozhikode : Popular Singer P K Medhini has been chosen for the maiden N C Mammootty Memorial Award for her outstanding contribution to the field. The septuagenarian singer deserved the award for enthralling people throughout the State during her six-decade career, N C Mammooty Smaraka Samithi General Secretary T V Balan told reporters here today.The award, carrying Rs 10,000 purse and a citation, would be presented at a function in Kannur on April 19, he added. --UNI
