Zakia Jaffery gets CISF protection






Ahmedabad:Zakia, the wife of slain ex-MP Ehsan Jaffery, and her family members have been provided CISF protection at the instance of Special Investigation Team. 'We have been provided four armed CISF men for security purpose at our Surat residence,' Zakia's son Tanveer Jaffery told PTI today.

'Initially, my mother (Zakia) was provided armed constable from the State Reserved Police (SRP) as security.

Later she went abroad to stay with my sister, hence the security was withdrawn,' Tanveer, the son of former MP who was killed in the 2002 riots at Gulburg society, said.

'Now she is back in India and has been staying with me in Surat and sometimes goes to Ahmedabad. Looking at the present scenario in Ahmedabad we requested for security cover for her. Our request was granted and four CISF men have been stationed at our residence. They also follow 'ammi' (mother) wherever she goes,' he said.
