Calicut Co-Op Bank registers impressive growth
Kozhikode: The Calicut City Service Co-Operative Bank (CCSCOB) has posted Rs 105 crore desposit registering an impressive 85 per cent growth during fiscal 2009-10 as against Rs 57.08 crore during the corresponding period last year. Speaking to newspersons here CCSCOB President C N Vijayakrishnan and Secretary Saju James said the bank, formed seven years ago, was able to record this significant achievement by rendering customer friendly service.
The CCSCOB, which was open to customers on all days, including Sundays from 0800 to 2000, proposed to open automatic teller machines (ATMs) with VISA card facilities in association with the Federal Bank soon, they said.
Talking on development, they said a 14-storey building to house the bank was under construction at Chalappuram in the city adding it was expected to be completed in 16 months.
