Youth from Kanhangad killed in Abu Dhabi
Kanhangad: A youth from Kanhangad was killed when a group of robbers stabbed him in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. The deceased is Muhammad Jasim, 22, son of Kovalpally Jabbar and Mumthaz. The incident took place on Tuesday at 11 pm at a labour camp which is 300 km away from Ruvais, Abu Dhabi.
Jasim was working as a collection agent for Alfardan Money Exchange company in Abu Dhabi. Jasim, along with two persons, collected money from employees for sending the money to their native place from the labour camp. When he was returning in a car, a group in another car, face covered, stabbed him. The relatives said that the group tried to steal the money and those who had accompanied Jasim in the car prevented the robbers from fleeing with the money. Though Jasim was rushed to a hospital he could not be saved. Jasim visited his native place in February and returned in March. The body will be brought to Kerala within a week. Muhammad Ashy, Muhammad Fasil and Muhammed Naseer are his brothers.
