    PM to inaugurate new airport terminal





    Thiruvananthapuram : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will inaugurate a new terminal of the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport here this month, Kerala Law and Parliamentary Minister M Vijaya Kumar said today. Reviewing the development works at the airport here, the minister said the construction cost of the new terminal was estimated at Rs 289 crore, according to an official press release here.

    Stating that Kerala government was extending full support for the speedy development of the airport, he said a new road, connecting the airport and the city has been constructed at a cost of Rs 81 crore.

    The minister was accompanied by Additional Chief Secretary T Balakrishnan, Airport Director V N Chandran, Mayor C Jayanbabu and V Surendran, MLA.
