K S Sedhumadhavan wins J C Daniel award
Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned director K S Sethumadhavan won this year's J C Daniel Award. The jury headed by K G George selected him consideirng his overall contribution to the cinema world. The award constitutes a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, certificate and a plaque.
Cultural minister M A Baby announced the award at a press meet here on Thursday. The Minister said the jury stated that the efforts by Sethumadhavan to connect Malayalam literature with cinema is priceless. Chalachithara Akademy chairman K R Mohanan and actress Aranmula Ponnama were also members of the jury.
