Firing at cops in Hyderabad, one killed
Hyderabad: Three masked men in Sha Ali Bandha Road today fired at police killing one cop and injuring two. The attackers came on motor cycles and started firing at the police patrolling vehicle at about 4 O'clock in the evening. Sha Ali Bandha Road is one of the busy areas of the city.
Some national channels have reported that the assailants were targeting the police commissioner and SIMI leader Sayed Wiquaruddin was behind the attack. But police have so far issued any statements. Police commissioner A K Khan who refused to confirm or deny the involvement of terror outfits in the attack said the police would look into it.
