25 killed, over 100 hurt in Iraq blasts
Twenty-five people were killed and over 100 injured Friday in two bomb attacks in Iraq's northern Nineveh province, police said.
An explosives-laden car was detonated targeting a football match played between two local teams in Telaffer city of Nineveh province. Minutes after the initial blast, a suicide bomber blew himself up in the middle of a crowd who gathered at the site, Xinhua reported citing police. The Nineveh province is a stronghold of Al Qaida terrorists.
