2 killed, 3 injured as mini lorry plunges into paddy field
Kannur : Two labourers from north India were killed on the spot and three injured when the mini lorry they were travelling in fell into a paddy field at Kottur near Sreekandapuram, about 45 km from here last night. Police said the deceased were engaged for loading stones and travelling in the lorry when the driver lost control over the vehicle, which plunged into the paddy field.
The lorry was proceeding from Chemparambu near here to Thottinpalam in Kozhikode district, when the mishap occurred.
The injured were admitted to Pariyaram Medical College (PMC) hospital here.
The bodies of the unidentified labourers were kept at PMC hospital mortuary, police added.
