KC (M) and (J) merges to form United Kerala Congress
Kottayam: The United Kerala Congress came to force with the merger of Kerala Congress Mani and Joseph group. Mani would be the chairman of the new outfit and also hold the post of parliamentary party leader. P J Joseph would be the working chairman and parliamentary party deputy leader. Addressing a meeting of the state and district-level leaders of both the factions, K M Mani said that the party would approach the Election Commission for a name and symbol. Till then the party would maintain its name as KC (M) with the symbol of two leaves. For the working activities of the party, a temporary constitution is also being formulated.
