Queen's surprise letter enthuses young poet
Nadapuram: Noushad stood startled when he received a letter from Queen Elizabeth at the Buckingham Palace. P A Noushad, a young English poet from Pathirapatta, received an accolade letter from Queen Elizabeth the other day. Noushed had sent a copy of his collection of poems, `Dreams and Tears', which bagged the Elena award for best English poetry collection, to the queen earlier. The letter states that the poems were really touching and thought provoking. Though he had sent the poems, he was surprised to see an immediate response from the Queen herself. Till date, Noushad had published three poetry collections. Noushad is working as a teacher at the Perodu MIM Higher Secondary School.
