Politics failed to curb maoist menace: Jogi
Kochi : Chhattisgarh has failed to curb the growing Maoist violence in the State despite Centre's assistance, former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi told mediapersons at Kochi Airport today. The socio economic sectors should be improved among the tribal class to prevent penetration of Maoist activists, Mr Jogi said.
''The State government believes in 'Bullet for Bullet' policy which is not a permanent solution for the Maoist problem,'' Mr Jogi added.
The Senior Congress leader who was injured in a vehicular accident in 2004, arrived here to consult with a doctor in St.
Thomas Hospital Chethipuzha in Chenganassery. He was accompanied by his wife and MLA Renu Jogi. They reached Kochi Airport by a Spicejet Flight from Delhi at about 1400 hrs.
