Blackmail threat to Sri Sri
Bangalore: Art of Living guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that though he had love and sympathy towards all creatures, such feelings can't be expressed towards anti-socials. In a release he said about the new issues surrounding the ashram land. The other day Sri Sri had filed a complaint with the Thalagattapura police about a blackmail call threatening him to give Rs 42 crore or else his ashram's name would be degraded. A copy of the petition was also given to the Bangalore DGP. At the same time, journalist Agni Sridhar and his friend Paul Fernandez, , a Malayalee, denied any connections to the threat. The ashram officials came out with an explanation when the incident became a hot news in the media.
Ravi Shankar alleged that Agni Sridhar approached the ashram saying that he is interested in dalit service projects. When the ashram officials approached him for more discussion on that, Sridhar blackmailed them to give money. Sri Sri said that Sridhar had been threatening him with fake videos with women and land transactions which had not taken place at all.
