Raid at Popular Front offices: Bombs, weapons seized
Kozhikode:Police on Tuesday conducted raids at the Popular Front offices in Malabar region and seized bombs and deadly weapons. The raid is being progressing mainly at Kozhikode,Kannur and Kasargod districts. Country bombs were found out from the Iritty office in Kannur. Swords were seized from Payyanur and iron rods from Manna Thaliparampa. Many leaflets were seized during the raid at the Kozhikode state committee office by higher police team, led by city police commissioner P Vijayan. More information has not been revealed. The raids are progressing in offices at Thriakkaripur, Kasargod, Kannur city and Mananthavadi.
Meanwhile, the Ernakulum rural police have issued a notice to stop the freedom parade organized by the PF on August 15. The notice is being issued as per the police rule which prohibits physical and weapon training.
