Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government had invested an amount of Rs.13.25 crores on vegetable cultivation during the
year to achieve self-sufficiency, state Agriculture Minister Mullakara Ratnakaran told the assembly today. Vegetable production in the state has increased by 3.24 lakh tonnes recently, Ratnakaran said responding to the calling attention of Raju Abraham (CPI-M) to the need to make state self sufficient in vgetable production.
Ratnakaran said 12,000 heactares of land would be brought under vgetable cultivation. PTI
