Thanur: An investigation team lead by Tirur DySP M P Mohanachandran held three doctors practicing in various parts of the district with fake certificates , here on Friday. Sajitha Abdul Jaleel, 46, from Vanchiyoor Thiruvananthapuram who was working in Thanoor Thayyala Grace Medicals, Jagatheesh Kumar, 47, from Balaramapuram who was working in Kuttipuram Mudal M M Hospital and Anil V Shajimohan, 47, from Thiruvalla who was working in CBM Hospital in Kalpakanchery were held.
It was as per the information of Sajith Abdul Jaleel who was arrested first from Thanur, that the others were booked. The advertisement notice of the clinic which stated that Dr Jaleel, former government doctor, MBBS, led to suspicion and paved way for arrest. Police held search in the clinic as per the complaint of a native . Jaleel only holds a diploma certificate from Bhopal. The registration number which was displayed notice and clinic is of another doctor. When the police team acting as patient went to the clinic, many kids were admitted in the clinic. He was acting as `doctor' in many parts of the state for the last 15 years.
Jagatheesh Kumar was held on Thursday night who was treating the patients saying as MBBS doctor. He joined on duty in Kuttippuram hospital showing an experience certificate from hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He had been treating for the last one year in the name Dr Ram. He only hava a DHMS certificate from an institution in the capital.
