Krishna may meet Clinton on sidelines of Afghan conference

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may have a bilateral meeting
on the sidelines of the Afghanistan donors' conference in Kabul on Tuesday. Both Krishna and Clinton would be in Kabul to attend the conference on July 20, a bid by Afghan government officials to urge a start to the spending of billions of dollars of pledged development funds.

As per information available here, there were indications that the US was exploring the possibility of a separate bilateral meeting
between Krishna and Clinton in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, according to sources, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has not called Krishna and apologised for his remarks following their talks on Thursday in Islamabad.

Krishna, who is leaving for Kabul tomorrow, will have a meeting with President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai after his arrival followed
    by a dinner. PTI
