Thiruvananthapuram: The delayed Air India Kochi Trivandrum- Doha flight, which was scheduled to leave from Thiruvananthapuram on Friday 8.50 pm, will begin the service at 3 pm today. After getting the assurance of the same, the passengers who were protesting by not vacating the air craft over the delay for the last 12 hours, agreed to shift to hotels. After 12 hour long torment , the passengers were shifted to three hotels.
The passengers were protesting by not vacating the air craft, over the delay of theflight which was scheduled to leave from Thiruvananthapuram Air Port on Friday 8.50 pm, but still remain grounded in Air port.
The flight which was scheduled to begin its journey from Kochi airport at 7.05 pm and to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.45 pm , reached here only by 12 midnight. By 2 pm the officials informed that the flight would not be able to proceed the service. Although the Air India staff asked the passengers to vacate the aircraft the passengers protested by not vacating the aircraft. The passengers have still not vacated the aircraft.
The AI authorities said that dearth in number of workers is the reason for delay. There are 160 passengers in Air Indian IS 457 flight.
