Thiruvananthapuram: The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Kerala with rainfall occurring at many places in the State and few places in Lakshadweep.
Kudulu received a heavy rainfall of ten cm, the Local Met Office said here today.
Punalur received seven cm, Konni and Vadakara six cm each, Kannur, Idukki, Munnar and Thalassery five cm each, Kottayam, Kozha and Quilandy three cm each, it said.
Rainfall or showers would occur at many places in Kerala and at a few places in Lakshadweep, the Met Office said and warned of isolated heavy rainfall in North Kerala during the next 48 hours.
Strong onshore winds from westerly direction with speeds reaching 45 to 55 kmph along and off Kerala Coast and over Lakshadweep Area would occur during the next 24 hours.
