YC activist's murder:CBI held CPM leaders and a goon
Kochi: CBI on Tuesday held two CPM local leaders and one goon in connection with the murder of a Youth Congress activist Abdul Jabbar in Kasargod. CPM Kumbala area secretary and teacher Sudhakaran Master, local leader of the party Abdulla Kunji and goon Abdul Basheer. Chief judicial magistrate remanded them to CBI custody. The incident occurred in last year November 3 night when a group hacked Abdul Jabbar to death. There were 30 injuries in his body. Though police held four accused, later they were released. In this Jabbar's father gave a petition in HC alleging that police was protecting the real culprits out of political pressure. Later HC handed over the case to CBI and flayed police for protecting the culprits. Sudhakaran was absconding after the incident. CBI held Abdul Kunji when he returned from Gulf. Sudhakaran master is the kingpin of the murder. It was as per the statement of other accused that police got information of Sudhakaran's link. But still police was not ready to add him in the accused list. Sudhakran out of jealous over the growing popularity of Jabbar as a leader, planned to kill him.
