Kozhikode : Eyeing small scale co-operative banks, a city-based firm, a joint venture by a group of young entrepreneurs in Kerala, has developed a software enabling them to foray into core banking service in the state.
Talking to newspersons here today, Perfect Software Solutions CLT Pvt Ltd Managing Director K C Biju claimed that the small scale banks would now enter into core banking with the development of cost-effective software titled ''SCORE.'' He said the small and medium scale cooperative banks were so far unable to foray into this sector as the existing software for the purpose was not affordable.
He said the firm, which has four approved distributors in the state, had expanded its operations to Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Hyderabad and Maharashtra.
Apart from the the development centre in the city, the company has service centres in Pathanamthitta, Wayanad and Union Territory of Puducherry, he said.
He said apart from banking, the firm has also developed software for financial accounting, hospital management, hotel mangement, inventory and production control and web development, among others, he said.
The company proposed to celebrate its tenth anniversary here on September 21, he added.
City Police Commissioner P Vijayan would inaugurate the meet, which would be attended by all the employees and ex-employees and their families, he added.
Directors C Jibin, Biju Issac, Programme Covenor Joby Thomas, Project Manager Nishid K and H R Manager Prajula Padmanabhan were present at the press meet.
