Kannur : Congress Spokesman and Chairman of the Janasree Organisation M M Hassan today said ''Janasree'' had the right to submit a project before the Union Government as a Non-Government Organisation (NGO).
Talking to reporters here, he said Janashree, which had completed three years of social service had all such rights.
Janasree had submitted projects before the Centre but the LDF and Finance Minister Thomas Issac had been looking at the organisation in a bad way, he alleged.
The recent allegation of Mr Issac Janasree trying to subvert panchayat funds to the tune of Rs 600 crore was baseless, Mr Hassan claimed.
He said the UDF did not wish to disband the ''Kudumbasree Mission'' if the Front came to power next year. But it should have some transparency, he said.
Mr Hassan demanded CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan stop criticising the synods and the clergy.
