HC not to dismiss Kavya Madhavan's case on dowry harrasment

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Thursday said it would not dismiss the case registered by actress Kavya Madhavan on dowry harassment by her husband's family. The court was considering the petition filed by Kavya's husband Nishal Chandra seeking to dismiss the case. Judge N Sasidharan said that the domestic violence case registered against Nishal cannot be dismissed and Nishal can continue compromise efforts. Police informed the court that Nishal and his family would not be arrested when they visit Kerala for a week to sign the divorce petition. Nishal, father Chandramohan, mother Mani Mohan, brother Dr Deepak filed a petition in the HC seeking dismissal of the case registered by Kavya for dowry harassment.
