    Elephant kills woman, daughter

    Palakkad: A wild elephant trampled a woman and her daughter to death at Kalladikottu near Palakkad on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Omana, 32 and her daughter Kavya, 8. The Forest Department have announced Rs 3 lakh as compensation to their family.
