Heliport and runway coming up in Guruvayur

Thrissur: A heliport and runway for small flight are being coming up in Guruvayur. The heliport which will facilitate landing of modern helicopters would be constructed in Dwaraka beech owned by Guruvayur Devaswom. The small runway (air strip) would be built in the Kandanassery near Guruvayur. Some other places are also being considered for the same. The initiative aims to begin helicopter service as like in Sabarimala. Helicopter services which would facilitate easy transportation from Sabarimala via Nedumbassery to Guruvayur would also be started. In Dwaraka beach Devaswom owns 12 acres of land and for geeting the plot for construction, Air Port authority officials would held talk with Devaswom board offices.
Getting the places, the construction would begin soon.
