Thiruvananthapuram : Defence Minister A K Antony today said the Armed Forces had always taken strict action whenever any wrong doings were found in army.
He was reacting to questions about the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scam in Mumbai.
''The Army chief was asked to inquire into the Adarsh scam after I got a letter from an MP regarding the issue,'' he told reporters at the Thiruvananthapuram Press club where he felicitated veteran journalist K M Roy and senior cartoonist K S Raghu.
''The CBI had been asked to look into the issue after the Army Chief's report on the scam,'' he said.
When asked about the ban on the deadly pesticide Endosulfan in the country, he said it was his ministry that had banned the pesticide in the state.
