    17 killed in Peru bus accident

    Lima: At least 17 people were killed and 15 injured when the bus in which they were travelling fell into a ravine in southern Peru, police said. The accident occurred Thursday in Andahuaylas province.

    A police spokesman confirmed the accident to EFE but refused to provide further details.

    In another accident, nine people died in a bus accident Tuesday that took place between the Arequipa and Cuzco regions.
