Kannur : The main Opposition BJP and Marxist parties have joined together in stalling Parliament and both were playing an opportunist game, Opposition Leader in Kerala Assembly Oommen Chandy alleged, here today.
These parties were protesting corruption when their leaders themselves were involved in many instances of corruption, he alleged.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Chandy said the obstruction of Parliament for the last ten days was not a protest against corruption.
The Congress Party had taken action against the leaders in three matters (2 G specturm, Commonwealth Games and Adarsh Housing Society Scam) and ordered CBI inquiry, he said.
Though Karnataka Chief Mnister B S Yedyurrappa had allegedly acknowledged corruption in land deals, the BJP Central leadership had announced only a party-level inquiry.
The CPI(M) also had taken a marvellous stand on the allegation against its Kerala Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan in the SNC Lavalin Case, he claimed.
