Thiruvanathapuram : Afro-American director Julie Dash will head the jury to select the awardee of the presitigious golden pheasant prize at the 15th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) beginning here on December 10.
Two Malayalam films, `Paleri Manikyam' and `T D Dasan standard B' are part of the competition section. Five of the
14 films in the category are from Latin America.
Awards in the festival include the prize from the voting of deletates for the best film in the competition section and
the honour of the Federation of International Film Critics Association (FIPRESCI).
The jury comprises Kasakhstan director Ermek Shinarbayef, Mexican film-maker Maria Novaro, Thailand director Apichat Pong and script-writer Suni Tharapur from Mumbai. PTI
