Thiruvananthapuram/Kalpetta: Wayanad district deputy collector (general)K Vijayan and Huzoor Shirastedar Prabavathy were suspended in connection with the PSC recruitment scam in which eight persons obtained jobs in Revenue Department in Wayanad by fake Public Service Commission orders and advice memos. The Revenue department also ousted the eight persons who got job through fake PSC order. Action should be taken against them as per civil-criminal rules and to levy the loss incurred by the state government from them.
The actions were taken as per the report of Land Revenue commissioner KR Muralidharan who is in charge of the investigation who has submitted the interim report before the government. Later he faxed the report to revenue minister, which stated the two officials guilty. Report also stated that files relating to fake appointments are missing from Wanayand collectorate. It is the district collector who recognizes the appointment of LD Clerk and village assistant. It was deputy collector Vijayan who examined the files on behalf of district collector and send it for his recognition. The investigation has revealed that ADM K Vijayan had close connection with the Abhilash, UD clerk of Wayanad collectorate who had worked as the middle man in the PSC recruitment scam. It was Abhilsh who forwarded the file to the upper section and Huzoor Shirastedar Prabavathy forwarded the same to deputy collector. Report stated that they have been found guilty and their continuation in service would affect the probe.
