Kalpetta: Former Wayanad collector T Bhaskaran was in tears when he came to know that he was suspended after being removed from the post. He stepped down from his post in tears on Wednesday. He said he is not guilty in the job scam. It was the ADM who had conducted appointments with fake PSC orders.
The Collector came to the office on Wednesday to accept his transfer order. He attended the auction for toddy shops at 11.30 am. After returning to the chamber, he came to know of his suspension from the TV news.
After hearing the news, employees of the collectorate came to see him. After talking to them he stepped down from his post by 11. 50 am. He said there is no base in the allegations that he never took action on complaints on fake appointments in Wayanad received during the `SutharyaKerlam' programe of chief minister. He said the complaint reached the related section and he was not informed about the same. The complaint was that persons with meager physical disability were given appointment in the quota for physically challenged.
