    Gold prices see a slump

    Kochi: Gold prices declined for the second consecutive day on Thursday. Gold prices touched Rs 15,320 for a sovereign, down Rs 40, with a gram of gold at Rs 1915. On Wednesday prices dropped by Rs 240 for a sovereign. The decline in prices in the international markets reflected in the local markets here. Generally, gold prices see a slump in December, as the investors take their profits during this time.
