Ayyappa devotee dies of heart attack; 5 injured in bus mishap

Kottayam: A 78-year-old woman Ayyappa devotee collapsed and died of a heart attack while trekking to Sabarimala, while five pilgrims returning to Tamil Nadu were injured when their bus capsized at Nilackal near Sabarimala, police said The woman, hailing from Ernakulam collapsed at the trekking path. She was administered first aid at a hospital in Pampa and later rushed to the Medical College hospital here, but died en route, they said.

In another accident, five pilgrims returning after darshan were injured when their bus capsized at Nilackal. The injured were treated and later discharged, police said. PTI
