    Prohibitory orders clamped in Nadapuram

    Kozhikode : Prohibitory orders have been imposed in Nadapuram in this district of Kerala today in the wake of tense situation prevailing in and around the politically sensitive locality. Police said District Collector and Magistrate P B Salim issued the prohibitory orders under Kerala Police Act for a week to prevent any untoward incident following retaliatory attacks between rival political parties at Kummamkode yesterday.

    Two Indian Union Muslim League(IUML) activists suffered injuries in the attack allegedly by activists CPI(M) in retaliation to attacks on their workers of the former a day earlier.

    Earlier also, probibitory orders had been clamped under Nadapuram Police Limits following retaliatory attacks by the parties in Kallachi after the October 23 Civic Poll in the State.
