Lottery: VS writes to PM

New Delhi: Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan has send a letter to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking for CBI probe into the lottery issue. In his letter CM also asked to probe the former sales tax evasion during the regime of previous governments. CM also asked the PM to consider the letter as a permission from the state government for a CBI probe as per` Delhi Special Police establishment'. CM also furnished the letter send to home minister P Chidambaram on October 26 and the minutes of higher level meeting in relation to Bhutan lottery, which was held in Delhi. During that meeting that the centre informed the Bhutan ambassador about the malpractices in Bhutan lottery sales. Instead of banning the lotteries, the centre asked Bhutan to correct the malpractices and during that time CM registered his protests.
