    Cong demands CBI probe into Lottery scam

    Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Ramesh Chennithala today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to order a CBI inquiry into the inter-State lottery scam. In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr Chennithala said Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan had also appealed to the Centre to order CBI probe into the scam.

    Earlier, the Chief Minister had written to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram demanding a ban on lotteries run in the name of Bhutan Government.
