Thiruvananthapuram : Computer Emergency Response Team-Kerala (CERT-K), a nodel agency for monitoring
various cyber security related matters for Government of Kerala, has successfully prevented a major cyber threat on
government sites by hackers on New Year eve. Based on alerts received from intelligence sources, the team, formed in tune with national CERT-India, took preventive
measures to check the hacking, CERT-K Director N Krishnan told reporters here.

Around 40 incidents of hacking of government sites happened in the last one and half months and the team
    successfully traced the IP addresses.

Apart from government agencies, the CERT-K would also take up the cyber crime complaints of private parties as well.

    that.

    said.
