Kannur: Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran today welcomed Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan's decision to order a Vigilance Inquiry into alleged amassing of property by son-in-law of former Supreme Court Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.
Talking to newspersons here, he said he would disclose his personal stance on the issue to the party leadership in New Delhi.
Welcoming the State Government's stand, he said if Sreenijan (ex-CJI's son-in-law) was involved in corruption, he should be punished.
About the re-entry of K Muralidharan, son of Late K Karunakaran, into the Congress Party before the election, he said party procedures in this regard were going on.
