Kozhikode : Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran today refused to comment on alleged corruption charges against National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairman and former Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishan.
Talking to the press here, the Minister said, ''It is not fair on my part to make statement on Justice Balakrishan,'' holding a statutory office, although ''I have clear opinon on the issue.'' However, he said, he would convey his views to appropriate authorities in Delhi.
He welcomed the vigilance inquiry ordered by the Kerala Government against Justice Mr Bala krishnan's son-in-law P V Sreenijan for allegedly amassing wealth, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
