Kozhikode: The Ernakulam-Lokmanya Tilak (Kurla) non-stop Duronto Express will be flagged off from January 14, 2011. The AC train would ply twice a week. Union minister E Ahamed would flag off the train at a function to be held in Ernakulum railway station at 10 am on Jan 14.
The new train would ply between Ernakulum and Kurla on Tuesdays and Saturdays and from Kurla to Ernakulum on Sundays and Wednesdays. The train which would begin its journey on Wednesday and Sundays from Ernakulum at 9.30 pm would reach Kurla at 6.15 pm on Thursday and Mondays.
The return train from Kurla on Tuesdays and Saturdays would start at 8.50 pm and reach Ernakulum at 5.45 pm on Wednesdays and Sundays. Though the inaugural special trains would start plying from 14th itself, the official service would begin only from next Sunday.
