Kozhikode: INL national president Prof Muhammad Sulaiman informed that the party had ousted state secretary P M A Salam MLA from the primary level membership of the party for a period of five years. The action is based on the report by an investigation committee which stated that Salam acted against the constitution of the party.
The committee, including Ahmed Devarkovil and Dr AA Amin, recommended the action. The investigation committee is of the opinion that Salam encouraged party workers and members to leave INL and join IUML.
PMA Salam said he would not approve the decision of national president. Only few days are left to convene the national executive meet and the decision taken by the president is undemocratic and one-sided, he said.
He alleged that the president took the decision before the meet as he has no belief in national executive and is sure that he had lost his majority.
