Janasathabdi express via Kottayam from January 20

Kozhikode: The Kozhikode -Thiruvananthapuram Janashatabdi Express via Kottayam will start service from January 20. The train which would begin its journey at 6.15 am from Kozhikode and reach Thiruvananthapuram by 1.45 pm. The train would start its return journey from Thiruvananthapuram at 2.20 p m and reach Kozhikode at 10 pm. The service would be for five days a week. The special train on the inaugural day would be flagged off by union minister of state for Railways E Ahmed at Kozhikode railway station on Thursday. The train from Kozhikode to Thiruvananthapuram would not ply on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the train from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode would not ply on Tuesdays and Fridays. There are seven stops for the train Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Ernakulum Town (North), Kottayam, Kayamkulam and Kollam.
