Kozhikode: Ibrahim Vengara, a renowned drama actor had been chosen for the Thikkodiyan Award instituted by the Pushpa Sree Trust.
K Jayakumar, Additional Chief Secretary, will present the award to Vengara, at a function to be got up here on January 28, N B Krishnakurup, secretary, Pushpa Sree Trust, told mediapersons here.
The award consists of Rs 15,000, a memento and citation, he said. Born on 1941, Vengara had written 42 drama books.
He had also won national and state awards for his contributions in the drama field. Vengara had also acted in 14 Malayalam film, he said.
