Kochi: In connection with the on going works of doubling work on Kayankulam-Mavelikara section, the Southern Railway today said it will be regulating a few trains for 33 days from Feb 7-Mar 11.
The doubling works are being carried out by Construction Branch of Southern Railway, a press release said.
In order to minimise repercussions on travelling public, special care has been taken to carry out most of the
works during night time for the first 15 days and the remaining works which are very crucial in the last 17 days.
During the first 15 days, from Feb 7 to Feb 21, the following trains will be regulated during the night time between 11 pm and 04 am, at stations near to Kayankulam.
Trivandrum Division is planning to attach Diesel Locos instead of Electrical locos, which will permit some of the
trains to be passed through Kayankulam station even during the block hours. PTI
