Kozhikode : The Regional Centre of Kerala State Civil Service Academy, under the auspices of Centre for Continuing Education Kerala, will start functioning from this academic year from June at Kozhikode, an official of the academy said.
Speaking to mediapersons here, A Pradeepkumar, MLA and M Shanthakumar, Head of the Kozhikode Centre, said that the
foundation stone for the building for the Centre will be laid by Kerala education minister, M A Baby, on February 24.
Pradeepkumar, who had played a prominent role in getting the Centre to Kozhikode, said that the academy will provide
courses in Civil Service Preliminary Examination-2012 training, Foundation course for higher secondary and college
students, talent development course and coaching class for National Talent Search examination for eighth standard
students.
With the launching of the Centre, students from northern part of Kerala would be benefitted, he said, adding presently
the students have to depend the Academy Centre at Thiruvananthapuram.
Academy will charge fees only for preliminary coaching for the civil service examination, he said. PTI
